Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier acted as legal adviser of BPCE on the planned acquisition by BPCE from Natixis of its Consumer financing, Factoring, Leasing, Sureties & guarantees and Securities services businesses for €2.7bn.

The implementation of the transaction would imply a capital increase from BPCE to be underwritten by the Banques Populaires and the Caisses d’Epargne.

The closing of the transaction is expected towards the end of the first quarter of 2019, after, inter alia, obtaining the opinion of the relevant works councils and regulatory approvals.
