Marie Michel-Verron

Marie is professional support lawyer on the Corporate M&A team. With more than 24 years of experience, Marie is in charge of monitoring legal news, collecting precedents, designing templates to be used by the team and working with the partners on a common approach to case law or legal developments. More generally, she also supports the department’s team, analyses case law and drafts memos and newspapers articles.

Given her cross-functional role, Marie has extensive expertise in all the legal reforms relevant to businesses and has closely followed legislative developments related to the Covid-19 outbreak, and more recently the proposed reform on contract law under the aegis of Europlace (French organization in charge of promoting and developing the Paris financial marketplace). She is also involved in a wide array of discussion groups, notably on the evolution of FDI (foreign direct investment) laws and regulations. Marie is also member of the Corporate Law committee of the MEDEF, France’s largest employer federation.

Marie was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1998 and graduated from the University of Paris I – Panthéon-Sorbonne in business law and from the University of Paris V – Malakoff in contract law. Marie previously practiced as corporate PSL at Herbert Smith Freehills Paris.
